The Yellow Rooms include Redbeard’s Revenge and Banged Up which were voted the #1 and #3 best escape rooms in Wales on Escape The Review. These rooms were originally designed and created by the team at Exit60 and have been taken under the management of The Escape Rooms Newport.

Not at all, just turn up 10 minutes prior to the start of your game, wear comfortable clothing and have your wits about you. Everything you will need to solve the rooms can be found within their walls - you don’t need any prior knowledge or special skills.

And don’t forget, your games master will be able to give you helpful hints, should you need them along the way.

The Yellow Rooms ('Redbeard’s Revenge' and 'Banged Up' are both found in our Market Street venue, just off the High Street. You can see us on Google Maps here. Our new location, The Red Rooms, are currently taking shape on the first floor of The Corn Exchange, on the High Street, you can find our entrance directly opposite The Carpenters Arms & McCanns pubs. Find us on Google Maps here. Both venues are within 2 minutes of each other and are just a stone's throw from our old location in Griffin Street (but much easier to find).

Short answer: No.

Long answer: You’re going to need your wits about you to solve the rooms and get the most out of your experience. We need to keep you safe and make sure you all have fun while you’re with us. For both insurance reasons, as well as your safety and enjoyment, if we suspect you are intoxicated we cannot admit you into the game rooms and no refund will be given.

The price per person varies depending on the size of your team. It's cheaper per person to play in larger groups and we'd generally advise that teams of 4+ players stand a better chance at beating the rooms.

Escape Rooms are charged from £21-£30 per person depending on your team size.

Absolutely. If you have booked for 2-5 players you can add any number of extra players up to a maximum of six players in total. If you give us enough notice (at least 48 hours) you can just pay the difference in the booking cost to add extras. However, any extra players added at short notice will pay a flay fee of £22, to be paid on the day of your visit, prior to your game. 

Yes! We know how tricky it can sometimes be to get the money from all your players up front, so we’ve recently introduced up-front deposits. You can choose at checkout to just pay a £50 charge to reserve a booking for any number of players and pay the rest on the day of your visit, ahead of your game. If preferred we can also arrange to send you a payment link which can be forwarded to all your players to pay their share individually. To arrange this, simply book your chosen game spot at the £50 deposit and then email us at info@escapenewport.co.uk (please provide your name and the date and time of your booking) to arrange a payment link. These are currently generated manually so please allow 24 hours for one of our team to get the link over to you.

Under 18s are welcome to play but, for insurance and health & safety purposes, they must have a paying adult of at least 21 years of age in the game room with them throughout their game. This adult is included in the number of (paid) players as we have to adhere to strict rules on room capacities.

It is the responsibility of the supervising adult(s) to ensure that any players below the age of 18 are following the game rules and health and safety advice given in their pre-game briefing.

While children can be a great asset to any team, these games are designed to be a challenge for groups of adults. So, for this reason we would recommend additional adults play alongside younger players to ensure everyone gets the most of the experience.
