ON THE STROKE OF MIDNIGHT...

During a hellish thunderstorm, a scream echoes through the sleepy town of Ravenswood Bluff. The townsfolk rush to investigate and find the beloved local storyteller has been murdered, their body hanging limp from the clocktower. As blood drips onto the cobblestones below, a realisation slowly dawns… a demon has been unleashed, killing by night and taking on human form by day. Can good find the demon in time? Or will evil overrun this once peaceful town?

Blood on the Clocktower is a game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception — for up to fifteen courageous players and one devious Storyteller, when you play with us.

A social deduction game played in person, seated in a circle, each player receives either a 'good' or 'evil' token with their unique character on it. Good players share information to solve the mystery whilst evil players lie about who they are and what they know. The good team wins if they can piece together their knowledge, trust each other, and execute the demon. The evil team wins if the demon can sow distrust, evade detection, and wipe out the town*.

We're the only permanent, fully licensed Blood on the Clocktower venue in the UK, running in official association with The Pandemonium Institute. Our purpose-built game room switches between day and night at our Storyteller's hand and is available for both public and private hire with our storytellers, trained directly by The Pandemonium Institute.

Public games

Our public games are open to anyone and run on the Trouble Brewing script — the original, and the most beginner-friendly script in the game. Whether you've never played before or you've played a hundred times, it's the perfect place to start with discounts and free spaces available for our Patreon Subscribers.

  • £15 per head

  • 7–15 players per game, capped at 15, and always run by one of our own Storytellers

  • Held weekly, alternating between Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons — check our Events page for the next date

We will also run public games aimed at specific groups, including:

  • LGBTQIA+ games

  • Neurodivergent-friendly games

  • Games for the 40+ crowd

  • Veteran BOTC players

  • Family-friendly games — under 18s are very welcome, provided they're accompanied by at least one adult (18+) in their party. We'd suggest an age guide of 14+, though we've seen younger teens do brilliantly if they're experienced gamers or already have a good handle on social deduction. We leave that judgement call to you and your group — these sessions aren't suitable for under 11s.

Don't see a game for you? Get in touch by email or on social media — we're always keen to hear which games, groups or timeslots you'd like to see next.

Private games

Prefer to book the whole town square for your own group? Private games can be booked on any day of the week, subject to availability.

  • From £220 per session — booked with a £75 deposit, with the remainder payable on arrival by cash or card (payment links available on request to split the bill)

  • Choose to have one of our Storytellers run the game for you, or bring your own Storyteller along (public games will always be run by one of our dedicated storytellers.

How long does a game take?

Blood on the Clocktower is wonderfully unpredictable — it can be won or lost on a single decision, and no two games play out the same way. We allow a 90-minute to 2-hour timeslot per game, and occasionally games can overrun by up to 30 minutes depending on how the story unfolds. If a game wraps up well within time, we'll happily re-rack for another where the schedule allows.
